Hi,
I used booking.com to book a hotel room for 4 days in New York for $669.60. Does the money get taken out of my account once i check into the hotel?? Also I noticed at the bottom it says taxes excluded does that mean its tax free or does tax get added on when i make the payment.
If anyone can help it would be appreciated.
Thanks
Tommy

Hi Tommy. I havent actually booked with booking, but when we stayed in London for 2 nights with expedia we paid on check-out. With the taxes you will have to pay the local tax. It could cost more than you actually thought.
I hope everything works out I would contact Booking though.£80.00/110000 -
this is from my confirmation email from booking.com from 23/01
Taxes:- 14.75 % TAX is excluded.
- Service charge is not applicable.
- USD 3.50 city tax per night is excluded.
However, just went on the site and same room is now inclusive of all taxes. Comes out at same price through.
for your room I get a grand total of $782.4 inclusive of tax.
I've not used booking.com before but last year used quikbook and it was the same setup, exclusive of taxes when booked, full payment including taxes on checkout.Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face - Mike Tyson0 -
I use booking.com regularly. We normally always pay on check-out and the taxes will be added to your bill.
