Bt wireless broadband

Hello everyone I have tried searching but cant seem to find the answers to my questions! I wonder if you would be kind enough to help please.

Ok, So, I have just ordered BT's wireless broadband. I am getting the BT home hub free. I have 2 desktop computers - 1 upstairs, 1 downstairs. Now both computers are ethernet enabled, but I do not have any ethernet adapters. So my question is really, what kind of adpaters do I need to buy and could anyone show me a link to what it is I need to buy? Is it a usb adapter or an ethernet adapter which is best and which is cheapest? and how will the computers recognise each other? This is the part where I get lost so any help would be much appreciated please!

I'm not sure what you mean by ethernet enabled? Do they have standard ethernet cards? if you want to use them wirelessly then you will need to get wireless adapters

Ok thanks that really helped! I think I know what I'm doing now - I need to get USB wireless adapters.

p.s Yes they have standard ethernet cards in both of them.

was just a bit confused when you said they were ethernet enabled bu you have no adapters. The FAQ has a link to the BT shop here you can buy wireless adapters but you can probably get them on the new cheaper

I have BT wireless & use the BT Voyager 1040 for my PC wireless conections, also have the voyager laptop adaptor & an xbox on my network.

Well worth shopping around for your adaptors, they vary quite a bit in price if memory serves me right!

I have never experienced any problems with my connections!

If you have (non-wireless) ethernet cards in the PC's, you can also use a wired connection using a cat5/6 cable or usb, so you may not need to buy wireless adapters for every PC, depending on the location in relation to the phone point.
