Can Ford Mondeo Mk3/4 driver/passenger seats be fitted in a Mk2?

I've recently started to drive a Mondeo Mk2 saloon (Aspen 1997) - unfortunately both front seats are soft & saggy, and Mondeo Mk2 seats aren't that common on e*ay.

Is it relatively easy to fit Mk3 or Mk4 seats on the rails that the existing seats are attached to? If so, are there any pitfalls to be aware of?

If not, does anyone know of any other ways to find seats that will fit online?

Thanks in advance!

Not a chance I'm afraid. Whilst the seats for the MK2 aren't common on Ebay breakers yards have plenty and you should be able to get them for £10-£20 but it does mean you'll actually have to do this thing known as picking up the phone and asking then going and collecting.

What the hell is it with peoples obsessions about only finding things online? Do you think they'll magically be more available or cheaper? I can guarantee you that with the shipping costs they won't be any cheaper than local breakers yards.
