I was called by phone by my employer on friday and advised that I was at risk of being made redundant. No other employee has been put a risk. A meeting is arranged for Wednesday. Is this sufficient notice?

Yes.
Some recommend giving first notice on a friday as it give the weekend for it to sink in you then have 2 working days to gather information and get someone to lined up to acompany you for the first consultation meeting where the company can make its case.0 -
I got 5 days notice.0

The meeting should be at least 30 days before the redundancy decision, notice for the meeting itself isn't specified as far as I am aware.0
