Hi,

I have Orange San Francisco phone. Previously it has 2GB memory and it worked fine. I jyst received Kingston 8GB memory card class 4.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001CQT0X4/ref=oss_product

Now when I inserted 8gb card in my phone and then went into memory screen on my phone, it immediately showed up over 7gb available.

When I try to download a video from youtube to my phone or take photo which will be using my memory card space it shows up " Memory card unexpectedly removed"

I works fine 2GB when downloading videos from youtube or tking pictures.

What should I do?

Thanks
MS

    Is the card formatted .
Can you connect the phone/card to a pc and copy stuff to this card as a test .
Is the card fully seated in the phone .

memory card is properly inserted otherwise the memory details wouldn't have appeared on my phone. When I try the transfer anything to the memory it auto disc and message appears " Memory card unexpectedly removed"

I have already tried connecting the phone using USB - memory card appeared on " my computer" when I try I to move the content to the micro SD - the memory card auto disconnects from the phone.

I have inserted the memory card into my laptops memory slot and copied the content - videos and photos. I then inserted that into my phone phone.

On my phone it states activating SD card and then shortly after it states " Memory card unexpectedly removed" when it tries to read the conetent,

Their is nothing wrong with memory card otheriwse it wouldnt have worked on my laptop. Their is nothing with the phone otherwise 2gb memory shouldn't have worked.

    Not sure. any further replies?

  • Memory card is too big for your phone to handle.

Micro SD goes up to 2GB anything from 4GB to 32GB is micro SDHC if your phone doesn't support SDHC you can't use anything over 2GB

Just checked and your phone should support cards upto 32GB
