Quick Pregnancy Test Question

Hello,
I am new here and just have a quick question...
I did a test yesterday and it showed as positive, however the line in the window was really faint and my hubby isn't convinced it is accurate... Can anyone tell me if this is accurate or not?
I think I am due on in the next couple of days, but my cycle isn't particularly regular so I'm not 100% sure!
Any advice would be great!

Did the line have any colour to it? If it did then no matter how faint a positive is a positive.
To be honest, if I were you I would pop out and get a digital - my OH needed it spelling it out to him before he would believe me.:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -

It did have a colour, just very faint! I shall go and get one and leave it on his pillow! He'll have to accept it then!0

You don't very often get a false positive so I would say any line no matter how faint is a positive.
Congrats OP - as you are testing so early perhaps test again in a couple of days if you don't want to splash out (pardon the pun
on a digital!) 0 -
Thanks guys, I am feeling more and more excited now! Can't wait for hubby to come home now!0

Congratulations! A faint positive is a positive...did the faint lin appear within the time frame? If so, you are def pg. There is something called an evaporation line which may appear maybe 30 0dd min after you test, but this sounds like the real thing. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0

I used Predictor tests which didnt "show" the results so fast. It has a 5 mins time to show it but also if you read the pack it can take anything up to 30 mins for a result but nothing more than that. I didnt find them very good to be honest. I used a £1.50 cheapie from home bargains and it showed the result so fast!:j0

I've had a false positive before (done in a hospital A&E!), which had a faint line!
I'd do another test just to be sure!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

If you have tested before your due on then the result will be accurate but will show faint. You should get a much stronger result a few days after your period should have been due. The pregnancy hormones in your system build up in that time. It also depends on what time of day you did the test. Its recommended to do it first thing in the morning when you wake. I had this with both my pregnancys as I couldn't wait to test either. Then spent a small fortune buying loads of tests to re-test because I couldn't believe my luck and just wanted to make sure, lol. My hubby thought we would have to re-mortgage the house at one point. Trust me once morning sickness kicks in you stop testing :rotfl:0
