Hi, Im a newbie at all this but am really struggling to find cheap car insurance for my 17 year old son who is in the forces. Most insurance companies want 4 - 6 k a year on a £500 car! have tried with me on policy etc but we have a traders policy and it seems to put the figures up. Have tried all the usual companies and comparison sites. It seems so harsh for the young soldiers and because he is in the forces some companies wont even quote him! He turns 18 in April and wants his car in regiment with him. is such a minefield.......anyone help at all please?

He is in the highest risk category being in HM Forces. Being ex-forces myself and my friend having his son in the forces I can see why.0
