Amtico/Karndean flooring

Thinking of this for new house.

Anyone got it? Worth the money or not?

Also - is it worth looking for deals on it - or buy from local stockist?

I have it in my hall and bathroom I love it ,It is expensive but it will last for years unlike carpet or laminate. I did look at getting it off ebay but could not find a fitter so got a few quotes there was about £20 between them all.A small bathroom in the michalangelo pebble was £300

Just had Karndean fitted in Kitchen/dining room. Looks fantastic !

Looked at buying off the net and finding a fitter however ended up getting supplied and fitted by a specialist. At £69 a sq metre thought we must be mad however the fitters did a superb job- everything is flawless and perfectly aligned- spent about on hour an Monday night trying to work out how they did it!

Its the old saying you pays your money...........

I know several people who have used Karndean sourced floors - and they look great. Also agree with previous 2 posters - expensive but worth it.

    See this link

Get some samples as well as the brochure - if you phone them up, they're happy to supply up to about 5 or 6 small samples (if you want to check colour, look and feel etc).

My mum had Karndean fitted in her Kitchen and it looks fantastic.

If you want to see it first hand you can visit their HQ in Evesham and see all the different styles laid out on the floor.

I have Amtico in my hall and it is superb, easy to clean and looks really expensive. I often find laminate never looks like a wooden floor so decided to go with the Classic Oak in my hall and never looked back since. It looks like a real wooden floor.

I'm now thinking about getting it in my dining room....aaah the price! I think ours cost £1100 for our hall but hopefully it will be there for years to come.

it is a good point to advertise when selling your home so even if it doesn't add value it will probably help a sale in the future.
