Wel you know where not to buy your next racquet from and tell all your mates how carp they are. The store nearest us isn't great either, lack of staff and those that are there are fairly disinterested.0

I refuse to shop in sports direct after I had a simular problem with them.
Bought a tennis racket (Wasn't a very expensive one but I don't play it a lot)
Got it home, and noticed that the plastic parts where the strings go through were sticking out causing the strings to be loose. So I decided it was bad quality and took it back for a refund.
Despite showing it him. He refused to accept it was a fault as a number of them on the shelves were the same and only offered to exchange it for one on the shelf where it wasn't the problem, I refused an exchange and explained that the racket was very bad quality if a number of them were like it and wanted to shop elsewhere. He still wouldn't budge. So I took the racket home, took pictures of it and showed pictures of a friends racket which didn't have the fault and sent it to head office through recorded post. Theyn eventually gave me a full refund to the dismay of the manager.
Honestly the staff there have no idea about sport equipment, I worked at a small sport shop for nearly 5 years and the amount of people we had come in saying the sports direct round the corner were hopeless was very large indeed. Even had one guy come in and said the guy who served him didn't even know what a shuttlecock was. Needless to say they closed down pretty quickly. I prefer to shop at smaller businesses whose staff know what they're talking about.I try to help as much as I can. But I'm also honest and speak my mind.
Smoke free since Jan 2014If you want any advice on quitting please send me a PM.
