New Stable Door

Hi all,
Looking to replace the back door in my little old cottage - currently have a very draughty and old wooden stable style door.
I would like a UPVC stable door but I have been told by window company that they are difficult to get 100% water tight due to the join. They have suggested a door with a tilt&turn window in the top.
Any one got either type and can comment on the above??
Also been quoted approx £725 fitted does this sound about right?
Thanks in advance.

As a Joiner who will always recommend a wooden door ,we can make wooden stable doors which are weather proof so there's no reason why a UPVC stable door shouldn't be weather proof..
I agree with Ormus (getting a bit of a habit this) Upvc ones never look right0 -

do you actually use the door as a stable door??
my folks had one for years that was totally pointless and just ended up leaking all the time, until they realised they never needed it anyway and got a nice wind and water tight timber door!!This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
