No response to ticket appeal

Hi all,
Looking for a bit of advice please.
Managed to get ourselves a parking ticket whilst parked in Camden back in October by pure misunderstanding.
We are the first to admit that we are in the wrong and shouldn't have been parked there, but, we were under the impression that you could purchase a visitor parking permit from the local newsagents (mis-advised by friend who is a non driving resident) but it turns out you had to apply for these from the council.
Anyway, we appealed the ticket as it said if you were visiting a resident, there would be a reduced charge. We appealed the ticket online and attached a copy of a letter we asked our friend to write saying that we were staying with him and it was a misunderstanding etc and sent it off and also advised that we were not living at the address that the vehicle is registered to.
Didn't hear anything back, then got a letter about a month later saying charge had increased. Phoned them, explained we'd appealed, had to forward them the confirmation email re the appeal and they said it would go on hold (also advised of new address).
Still heard nothing, then another letter (to wrong address) saying charge had gone up again, so rang again, told them that we'd sent an appeal and heard nothing, they said they'd put it on hold again, and get back to us within 10 days (this was over Christmas).
Heard nothing AGAIN, and AGAIN, to the wrong address, we get a court summons, called AGAIN and insisted on a call back today but not heard anything yet.
Anyone know where we stand? I have a record of the times, dates and who we spoke to when we called but other than a series of automated letters, we've had NOTHING in response to our original appeal!
As far as I was aware, the ticket should have gone on hold and stayed on hold until we'd had a response?
Thanks in advance!

Im taking it that you have a council ticket ( PCN ), best thing to do here as you have missed all the deadlines etc is to goto http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showforum=30 start a new thread on there, post copies of letters and tickets and the good chaps n lasses on there will help fight the council, should be able to appeal easilyYou may click thanks if you found my advice useful0 -
Many thanks, I shall post there tomorrow!0

Yes - post as directed but sooner rather than later. You are at a dangerous advanced stage.
You will need to be more accurate when you describe what has arrived -- ''letter'' is insufficient, the docs have titles that are important.
Also - you have not got a ''Summons''. More likely an Order for Recovery but confirm over on PeP.0 -
Hi all,
and also advised that we were not living at the address that the vehicle is registered to.
You seem to say that so casually - but it is quite a significant thing. Any explanation? You may be breaking the law??
You refer to Council writing to wrong address - which is the ''wrong'' one? The ''wrong'' one on the V5 or the ''wrong'' one that should be on the V5??0 -
Bailiffs turned up yet???
Do you want to sort this or not??0
