Does anyone know of a reasonably priced weight loss holiday in the UK or abroad, for 1-2 weeks? I have seen a couple of places but they are really expensive, 1-1200 for a week in the UK is way above my budget. I'd be hoping to spend no more than half that, max.

I'm a bit stuck in a rut at the moment and think it would be really helpful with a week to kick-start healthy eating and exercise habits!

What on earth is a weight-loss holiday? Perhaps a week doing out-door pursuits would be just as good, and probably cheaper?0

Try a week in a country with lower standards of food hygeine, and eat food from street stalls and drink the local water - that should lose quite a few pounds in a week! This could be very money-saving as well, as you could chose a very cheap hotel....
Or, if you get seasick, try going on a cruise. I did this for 6 days over Christmas one year, and came back having lost half a stone.... Throwing up every night while the boat is sailing has a very significant weight-loss effect! 0 0

Seriously people pay 500 quid or so for a 4 day 'weight loss course'??
Come and stay at mine for a week, give me 400 quid and I promise not to feed you a crumb, you'll lose 4-5 lb. 0 0

Try www.champneys.co.uk , They run some fit camps, or you could have a just week there and use the fitnesss facilities, pool.0

How about instead of a 'quick fix' spending the money wisely on activities that will help you long term? We bought a wii and wii fit board about 12 months ago and its great fun! If you dont feel that you would stick to something long term then i doubt that a weeks diet/fitness camp would help you be more dedicated
If you want to incorporate a break into a healthy lifestyle hows about a walking holiday ?0

i did a new you bootcamp last year in july in south wales i booked it last minute ie 2 days before and got a good price some had paid several hundred pounds more
i did it more to get fit rather than lose weight and to give me a real quick boost to excercise
was it good yes i learnt a lot about food /diet and excercise
did i lose weight yes but a lot of it was water and lack of food and im now only a little bit under the orginal weight
would i do it agian probably it was a good fun week abeit hard work and punnishing
did i benefit from it - yes - i can now run 5 miles and do this 3 times a week - when i started the bootcamp i couldnt even run for the bus
it keeps my weight steady and i eat a lot healthier as well but its not for the fainthearted i will say that excercising from 6am till 8pm most nights and a 20 mile hike over the breacon beacons at the end of the week was hard hard work0
