Loans with bad credit?

Options
Hi

I am after a loan for £5000. I have had bad credit in the past but I am ok and paying my creditors on time. I do have a poor credit history because of this. Is there any loan companies anyone advise to use that I won’t have to pay a brokers fee or any upfront charges? Is it normal to pay a brokers fee at all?
Many Thanks

In any case Geoerge, use these sites to look for a loan - but make sure that a loan is what you actually NEED - dont go getting in to debt if you can avoid it - borrowing is a last resport IMO!

    Hope that helps.

Couldn't agree with this more. In most cases, careful budgeting is much more effective than more credit. Especially if you have a poor credit history, and the only loans you can get are high APR.

Basically, the answer is no, nobody will lend to you at anything approaching a decent rate and there are loads of vultures circling to clean you out with fees and other shizzle.

    You'll have to save.

    Hi George.

It is not normal to pay a brokers fee - never pay an upfront fee, ever!

I have used and suggested for finding loans before. The site is free so no fees ect, and they seem to have loads of loans.

I think www.lenderscompared.org.uk is also a good site for finding loans when you have bad credit.

I did notice that their was a thread on here the other day about but I cant find it now, what happened??? - Has anyone else used the site?

    Blatant advertising for loanpages.

Having look at the site after seeing the original post and putting in some details to see what sort of results it gave for getting a £5000 loan the result were awful. Top results included showing my credit unions which were hundereds of miles away from my postcode and none of the mainstream lenders were shown, despite the fact I would stand a great chance of getting a loan from most of them had I really wanted one.

George,do not use those websites for loans, the best place to try for a loan would be your bank.

Moneybuddy why don't you get back to your loan company and stop being a tw*t,you should be banned for promoting these companies.
  • I have a fair credit profile there are a2 defaults from 3 years ago that are paid, I dont owe any money to anyone, and am fully employed with a wage that is 2 1/2 times the national average, I am in the military so I am my job is secure. I need a loan of 10000, I save about 1000 - 1400 a month, but I cant get a loan. I dont want to try and be denied, anyone know any loan companies.

Its very hard getting a loan if your in the forces as you might get shot and die, then the lender won't get the money back.

You aren't helping by quoting the whole post, you have doubled the spam you are trying to rid.

I'm resisting the urge to comment on your subsequent post!
