hp 27 black printer ink - questions

Hi Peeps,

Recently replaced ink with Morrisons £13.99 ink which repeatedly 'dried up' and now will not work at all. (Tried everything to make it work).

What's the current thinking on printer ink. The HP own brand is about £27, which for me, is out of the question, money wise. If I buy supposedly compatible, but cheaper inks, are these doomed to fail in some way?

I'd really appreciate your thoughts.

Many thanks.

i have always used completable inks without any problem, there ok, they just work, the only ever time i noticed a difference was when printing photos, but if your just using it for general printing it will be fine

Same here but if you only use your printer now and again, the ink will dry in the heads regardless of who you use.

put some hot water in a saucer and stand the cartridge in it for about 5 mins then remove the cartridge and dab with a tissue to see if the ink has started to flow again.
