Good luck getting your MI12 form, its not easy if its anything like the runaround I am getting! I am receiving IB JSA, and I had been signing on for 12 weeks, and when I signed on last Friday I asked about the form I needed to fill in for help with my mortgage as I was going to be eligible for help. The advisor told me to my face that they don't give out the forms, that it 'has all changed since April' and to save costs the forms are sent out by my mortgage provider and I should speak to them!
I rang my mortgage providers and asked for the forms, and explained what I had been told. She apologised and said she couldn't think of putting it any other way than that the DWP were lying. She said the forms need to be obtained from the DWP and filled in, and then sent off to my mortgage provider, but no they didn't provide the forms.
I am so bloody annoyed that I am having these problems, I am already in arrears now with my mortgage and worried sick about it, without being messed around like that, I now have to wait til next week to get back onto the DWP, and its just going to cause further delays.:mad::mad:
So, does anyone have a definitive answer about where exactly am I supposed to get a form? Hopefully someone will have the answer and it may help others in the same situation. Thanks0 -
it should be the dwp that give you the forms, part 1 is completed by you and the part 2 is then completed by your lender, the only form that goes directly to your lender is the yearly review to see what your outstanding balance is.0

Unfortunately No1Animal you were missed advised. The DWP should send it out.
The agent has been confused with how mortgage protection/insurance is now dealt with. If you have mortgage protection then you go to the insurer/lender directly.
If you want to apply for Mortgage Interest payments then you contact DWP. The job centre won't have the form in the office you'll need to ring up the contact centre and they'll get the housing cost section to issue the form.0
