money has just disapeared

Please could you help me to get an idea of what might of gone wrong before i go into the bank (natwest).
On the 28th Jan i went to a cashpoint with my daughter who also works for boots her wages paid in mine also showed as paid in £720.00, allowed to draw out £250.00 daily allowence took out £200.00 used card twice that day £30.00 and £21.00 so definatly should be money left on the saturday to pay money off husbands funeral!
but went to natwest and another 8 cash points to see that i was overdrawn £256.00 i have a basic account that u cant get o'drafts on am going in this morning but have any of you wonderful people got any idea what might have gone on could work pay money in then take it back and how can i tell them i am very upset really dont need this with hubby's death ( only 48) so recent.

    Boots have probably recalled the BACS payment, I suggest you contact them to find out why, but it looks to me to be a payroll error.

    have just had a look at my new emails and there were 2 from natwest 1 was asking me to do some online checks or they will suspend my account i clicked on the link and it has been reported as phising so ignored it one was from natwest again that says to ring them and quote a number. am going onto bank now to check with them b4 i do anything else

    Hi,

    Think speaking to the bank is definately best idea but wanted to post a comment that, if you EVER receive a mail from a bank, credit card company etc asking you to cliick a link to verify your details 'DON'T'. Financial companies never send you mails asking you to click a link to access their site. This sort of mail, however good it looks, will be a phising scam.

    this is why this is such a wonderful site to come onto for advice as any question is never a silly question and we arn't made to feel daft i should have relised about not clicking the link and normally i would have but busy time at the moment with baby due and the funeral so thank you all very very much for not making me feel daft. xxx

    mmm....I feel some online fraud may have taken place already, maybe due to you clicking on an email last week and giving your details to them. I hope I'm wrong.
