    Good morning moneysavers:hello:

I'm now on my5th NSD :j It helps that I am so stressed and shattered from work that I can't face going near any shops (only 2 days to go and then I get a few days off so its not too bad really)

So sorry to hear your bad news Brown_ Suga. I know its difficult but do try not to worry too much about it:grouphug:

Have a good and frugal day everyone

What a lovely, sunny, if distinctly chilly day today!

I have spent far too long on the 'puter today already, but I have sorted out somewhere for us to stay in Orkney this summer, getting really excited about this! :j:j

Also picked up details about some exam cancellations for tomorrow (I am invigilating)....so should finish earlier than I thought :T.

Off now to clear and clean out a corner cupboard in the kitchen. It looks like a wee furry creature has been visiting and been nibbling at my packets of food :eek:. Not sure how much I will have to bin...we'll see

Declaring today as NSD no 6 today....we won't have to pay for the MOTs and any work needing to be done on the cars until the end of this week or even next week :j

Right off to clear up...I may be some time! :o

    :j Hi everyone

I,ve had a particularly stressful and spendy weekend (dog had to have emergency surgery at the vet) so I'm still only on 3 days:(

I'm going for another today, but i'm not declaring it yet (You never know whats going to happen).

Anyway, I'm back to work tomorrow so that should stop me from spending anything (take lunch to work with me:A)

I had a severe addiction to mags too - I used to buy about 3-4 monthly mags and usually 1 or 2 weekly ones. Rather than give up completely, I chosed a couple I REALLY liked and got subscriptions. That way, I feed my "habit" but it's cheaper and I dont have to go into the shop and be tempted by goodies;) HTH

At one point I was getting 5 monthly, 3 weekly (sometimes 4!) but I worked in a job where I would have no customers in an evening, so would actually read them all! I did cut down once so no monthly, but going into a shop once a week for the weekly is deadly! Temptation all round! Gonna see how I get on, but I have thought about subscribing!

NSD #3 yesterday, but a trip to Mr T is needed tonight!

Today is number 3 NSD which is great and I am even more pleased with myself that I have saved £10 a month by cancelling sky sports - don't think the OH will be impressed - but I am the one who pays for it!

You pay, you decide in my view! If he's that bothered about it then he'll find the cash from somewhere for it...

Another spendy day, already, today - succumbed to the coffee machine at uni, and got to get some beers for a party tonight. Will try and get cash out and allocate my definite spends for the rest of the week. Can I allocate drinking money on Saturday for the mess? I can't get out of it as it's TA stuff, we're training with another unit, soft drinks cost money too, and I'm being paid... So if I put aside a certain amount today, will that count again on Saturday? I feel it is a bit cheeky!

  • Hi

Had a spendy day today - had to go into town to pay my DH quarterly car parking and since I was there I bought lunch for myself, sister and two nieces :A It was only £5 ish from Greggs, but we sat outside in the sun and it was lovely :D then, as it was a spend day anyway, we went into Mr T on the way back from town and got some whoopsied bread, broccoli and cherries (for my DH - he loves them but I never buy them for him as they are too expensive!). I also needed to get a belt as mine fell apart the other day.

Hope everyone else is enjoying today, it really is beautiful out there!
