  • Evening all,

Well I've racked up another 2 NSDs making my total 4 NSDs!

Probably won't be another NSD tomorrow as I have to go to the PO to send off all my Ebay parcels :)

No 3 NSD for me today.

Whew, is it just me or does Feb seem to be a little bit more hard going?

On the plus side, 4 days into the month and I'm spending less than what I had this time last month.:D

Will be a small spend tomorrow - a massive £4.40 for my powerplate session. Then I plan on pottering about cleaning the house.

Hubby goes away on a course on Monday, so it will just be me and the dog to please ourselves. (i should also be able to stick to my diet while he is away:).

Looking forward to more save days.....

Well my NSD total is a nice round figure - zero. But most of my DDs are taken out during the first few days of the month or the end of the month when my salary goes in, and I am one of those strict sort of NSDers who counts any money leaving the bank account or moth sanctuary sorry purse as a spend. So, the first real NSD action should be Sunday - so CW can jolly well put that frozen minging kipper back for another couple of decades.

A howling gale outside but a warm and well-fed Nargle inside about to raid the choccie tin - left over Christmas Quality Street, how economical is that!

but just depends on what we fancy for tea tomorrow and whether I have everything bar veg in the freezers or not.

..don't tell us that what you fancy won't be in your ever well stocked freezer Cheryl - you have EVERYTHING in there and are prob better stocked than the supermarkets :rotfl::rotfl:

    Well...drum roll....I can FINALLY declare NSD #1.

I did take a stroll into town at lunchtime with my little paws snug in my new gloves (:o) but I did resist the urge to splurge on hot choccies. It's blowing a gale here and we prob need milk sooner rather than later but that can (hopefully) wait until tomorrow when I'm expecting a spendy day. Got some 'smoked river cobbler' steaming in the oven that I defrosted to mix in with some pasta and basil sauce for dinner and re-freeze some portions for lunch/dinners too.

No lamb, and no full joints of any description...... so no, I don't actually have everything in there :rotfl:

Also have mushrooms in most of the mince based meals I have in there, and sweetcorn in a lot of the others. I know he doesn't eat sweetcorn, and have a funny feeling he mentioned not eating mushrooms either !! And no 'raw' mince in there either ATM ;)

    Hi All

Am finding I have to try to go cold turkey from the forums during the week or I spend far too much time reading through. Although it is great to read all the inspiring stories and ideas I still need my regular 8 hrs sleep.

Home alone tonight though, well me and the dog, so gonna try and catch up on a bit tonight. I am managing to track my spends as I go through the week though, using a small diary to keep notes as I go, which seems to be working well.

Pleased to say 3 NSDs so far in Feb. Unfortunately the spend day on Thursday was BIG spends

We had our boiler replaced earlier in the week and the money went out the account on Thursday. We were spending more on repairs than reasonable for the age of boiler, couldn't get on a service plan because of the existing boiler problems and thoroughly fed up with it breaking down so glad to have it done but have some saving to do to recover from that outlay.....and I also succumbed to a top up shop on Thursday at Mr T without a list which was v naughty though under £10 which is something of a first for me and the change went straight in my sealed pot before I could fritter away more of it ;).

Not quite on target for achieving 20 this month as usually Saturdays and Sundays are spend days, but am going to try my hardest not to spend tomorrow to get back on schedule, got enough milk and bread to get us through to the weekly shop on Sunday so might just make it......
Debt Free since Nov 11 (ish) (except the £118000 mortgage :o) as at Jan 2013 but still hanging around DFW as I need to Stay On Track.

Right, declaring today as NSD no 3...and third in a row too!!

If we manage our usual NSD weekend...then we will have got our first ever 5-in-a-row! :j Now that's a target to aim for :D

Have a good weekend all...off to stitch some Elegant Lady....the 6-Nations Rugby starts tonight, so there will be lots of ironing and knitting done in the next 6 weeks!! :D

Can't X-stitch while the rugby is on I'm afraid...too many mistakes made (guess how I found that out!). :o

Can't be as bad as me, Keiss, I was doing a hand-made buttonhole on a coat once, had the coat on my lap and stitched the buttonhole and coat to the skirt I was wearing:o:o:o
