Take it off the market?

Hi,
My house has been on the market since last summer. Having viewings but no offers.
My kitchen and bathroom are old and dated. Should i take it off the market and DIY update the bathroom and kitchen?
BUT, my wife is pregnant (unplanned) and due in August. I have about 4 months to do the work and put the house back on to sell.
I plan to do the work myself with help from knowledgable friend so it shouldnt cost much to do.
Should I take it off while I do the work?
Thanks

Do it well and cheap
or
just reduce the asking price and let a new owner do it.0 -
Hi,
Price is very fair compared to similar in the area. Can't go any lower as i won't be able to move on.0 -
well if the others near you have better kitchens and bathrooms then make yours the cheapest to reflect that.0

Are there photos up of the kitchen and bathroom? I mean, do viewers know what to expect? I hate it when EAs try hiding the worst features and think people won't be bothered when they view. It just turns out to be a disappointment for buyers and wastes everyone's time. If there are photos, are you sure it's these two things that's putting people off?
Might be able to just change kitchen doors in kitchen, or paint them... depends on layout and basic structure of units. As for bathroom, is it a coloured suite? What's on the floor?
What's the rest of the house like?

Are you moving because you want to, or because you have to? Is there a time limit for the move (apart from the new baby coming)?0

Surely you can at least reduce it by what you'd spend on the kitchen and bathroom?0
