Housing Benefit Help ?

Hello all

After 10 years of living with an abusive partner I have left him and my sister has agreed to me living with her temporarily.

I am in receipt of Incapacity Benefit, DLA care and mob at highest rate I am also in receipt of an occupational pension.

I would dearly love to move into a flat of my own in the London Borough of Southwark (I have friends there)

I know all about the changes to Housing Benefit which will be applied from April 2011

My question is before I move into a property is it possible to find out from Southwark as to whether I will be entitled to HB and CT benefit as I will be moving there from Doncaster

I do not want to take up a tenancy and end up being unable to pay

I have got approx £5000 in capital and do not have any other visible assets

I called my local council and explained my situation and asked how much I would be entitled to.
