Can DECT be used as a mobile number?

Hi,
Is there a DECT system which is linked to a sim card rather than to landline? My friend and I who live in the same house would like to share a mobile number (we don't have a landline) and we want a twin DECT so that my friend in an adjacent room can pick up the call when I'm not home, and that we can communicate through internal calls.
I see a few DECTs which takes the sim card. Will this suit the purpose?

Some Dect phones have SIM card readers but this does not mean that they can be used as mobiles! Get yourselves two mobiles, it would be cheaper and more convenient than sharing one. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
