Hi
on the 26th October i bought a deal (£36 instead of £125 for a wash, cut and blow-dry, KMS California intensive conditioning treatment and a half head of foils or full head of colour ) when I phoned to book an appointment they said they were fully booked until the end of jan (which is when the voucher expired) They put me on a standby list.
They did call me one day in november at 10.30am and said i could have my appointment at 11.45 that morning but i was at work so turned it down and was told i'd have to go to the bottom of the list and it was doubtful that i'd get an appointment as the list was so long.
I emailed groupon and they replied
Thank you for your email.
Please note that, with or without a Groupon voucher, all businesses offer their services subject to availability. Weekend availabilities are often a more popular choice
This deal proved to be extremely popular and despite all the necessary preparations and adjustments as is customary when facing such a sudden rise in demand, our partners' phone lines and email inbox may experience congestion in the first weeks after the deal feature. This is why the validity of our deals often range from three to six months, so as to provide you with ample time to make your booking.
If the voucher expires before you are able to book it, I am able to offer you a refund in Groupon credits as a gesture of goodwill. These vouchers can be used towards future purchases of Groupon vouchers.
If you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us
Do I have to accept a credit or can I instist on a refund? If it makes any difference I did tell the hair dressers that I only work in the morning mon - fri, and I could even take a morning off if I had a days notice so its not as though I could only do weekends.
thanks in advance for any advice:)

I thought when I started reading they were going to say tough. Credits are obviously not ideal but I think to get anymore will at best take an extraordinary effort. In my dotage I begining to realise there are more important things in life to get stressed over so I would probably just take the credits.
In the days of my youth I would have fought it and probbly got no better a result. However I would take the opportunity to tell all who would listen how awful the local hairdresser was.0
