NatWest MasterCard YourPoints-Do they include insurance for damaged goods?

Good evening everyone.

Does anyone know if the NatWest YourPoints MasterCard include any form of repair service for goods damaged accidentally?

I (stupidly) dropped my iPhone 4 outside on concrete and the glass front screen smashed.

I know I should've taken out insurance for it (and hindsight is a beautiful thing) but would I be able to arrange for my iPhone to be repaired via NatWest or should I bite the bullet and pay for Apple to repair the handset?

Thank you. :D

Natwest have multiple credit cards, and i think all of them are eligible for YourPoints, so it depends on which specific credit card you have.

If you have Advantage Gold, then according to the following page, it comes with Accidental Damage cover for 100 days after purchase.

Apple do a fixed price repair if it's not covered elsewhere :)
  • Thank you for the information/advice guys.

I called into the Apple Store at MeadowHall today and the kind lady at the Genius Bar replaced the phone for me free-of-charge.

But I'll remember to insure it this time!

Apple replaced your phone for free? Your phone that you admit you damaged through your own fault? Wow!

I'm not trying to have a go at you, I'm just really amazed that in this day and age, good service like that still exists. Thanks for updating us.

  • Yes, free of charge. As a 'goodwill' gesture. The very helpful young lady (she is a credit to Apple!) told me they'd replace it free of charge as a 'one-off' as they don't like to profit from people's misery. If the same happens again then I will have to pay, but I'm going to be careful this time!

But no problem, thought I would let everyone know seeing as people kindly helped me out on here. Only fair.
