ah these are def worth a try... getting so sick of not being able to eat anything nice! bar the tiny selection in my shops that are sooo expensive! Out of intest.. does anybodu know a good online site where you can order gluten free food? :beer:

ahh how i miss cakes.. havnt attempted gluten free baking yet. have only known i have it for 6 months so still kind of new to it all. May have to attempt it :-)

I've had quite a lot of gluten free/wheat free goods from here - very reliable and quick delivery.

Having been wheat intolerant for going on two years I'm quite amazed at how little I actually miss bread considering I practically lived on it before. Initially I tried various wheat free substitutes but found them to be quite nasty The Genius bread is definately the best (so far) but have to say when I treated myself to some at Xmas it was really dry and hard so don't think I will bother again. In fact most wheat free food I've tried hasn't been nice enough to have again! I do have the frozen yorkshire puddings - just so I don't feel left out when we have a roast :rotfl:
As for cake that's a no no too with the food plan, but my friend introduced me to Starbucks wf chocolate brownies and they are divine!! I also noticed on Tesco website that they now have a wheat/gluten free victoria sponge mix so may have to try that for my birthday in March - last year I had a cake and only got to blow out the candles lol Mrs Crimbles range of biscuits are also really yummy but again really high in calories so I don't buy them as I can't be trusted not to eat the whole packet
Apparently Doves Farm flour is really good for baking with if you're that way inclined.
Will pick up some warburtons bread when I get a chance, just so I can say I've tried it.

Homemade GF cakes are better than the real thing - give it a go. So much better value than buying them. Doves farm is good, or if you are Coeliac and can get it on prescription any of the white mixes will do the job well.
In fact its my birthday this week and I have to take in cakes for work - I always cook them all GF with Doves farm so I can have a variety , and no-one ever notices.
