Hi
Can anyone help? I have been with Barclaycard for years and have transferred monies many times . I have considerable debt with them so they always get a nice bit of interest from me, so I would like to think that I am loyal customer and would get treated so. I phoned them today and wanted to transfer more money from HSBC card with high rate, they offered bare minimum amount I could transfer and with 6.9% lifetime interest and 2.9% fee. This would be great if they would let me transfer more money, but they won’t. I noticed on your Q&A section that you recommended taking out another credit card with same company to transfer monies, I didn’t realise you could do this. If you have max on one c/card with company will they make second card only small amount or is this then counted as a new card and funds transferable will be higher? as I am not sure if to phone Barclaycard and try and take out another card with them or just look at other companies like MBNA as they seem to have good rates at the moment with 0% for 16months, but I did wont to keep debts under one roof for easier management. What should I do? Does anyone have knowledge of MBNA, are they ok to deal with?
I was also wondering if there is any techniques or words to use to get them to take you seriously, as when I spoke to AOL to change broadband I told them I wanted MAC Code to change supplier, they couldn’t bend over backwards enough to get me to stay, but Barclaycard don’t seem to have this attitude to try and keep their customers
Any advice will be gratefully received.

Well, try applying for a new card and see what happens. If you get the card, do the transfer. Keep the Barclaycard for emergencies maybe?0
