breakfree/sun holiday advice needed!

Hi! I'm thinking of booking a Breakfree regional holiday - codes in my local newspaper mean it is same deal as Sun caravan park holidays - am on very low income so trying to work out how much it would cost exactly.

It's £10 per person per night - minimum of 4, so £40 cos it would just be me - plus service charge of £6pupn - assume that is per unit per night - so 4x6=£24, so £64 total so far. There is a charge for bed linen - assume if you bring a sleeping bag and your own pillow cases you don't need that. There is a charge for entertainment passes -assume those are optional - not my thing at all!
Is there anything else I have left out? Toiletries not included - do you have to bring your own loo roll? Are the caravans supplied with plates, saucepans etc? As i say, I'm on a low budget so dont want any nasty suprises.

Other thing - I am a carer for my mum - so really am looking for nice quiet week on my own, even if bad weather it would be bliss! Am I mad? Can you really get peace and quiet in a caravan park? Am thinking of staying at Manor Park Hunstanton in Sept - accommodation available now is Standard.

Any advice very gratefully received as I have never done this sort of holiday before - frankly cannot remember last holiday I had.
Cheers!

Yes, caravans normally come with crockery, cutlery, glasses/cups, saucepans, oven ware etc. I would take a loo roll just in case, nothing like arriving and needing the loo and finding there is no paper:(
Haven sites, you can do away with hiring linen and just bring your own, you should be able to ring the park and confirm this..
Does the fee cover your gas and electric?
I would imagine you should be able to get some peace and quiet in September, as long as the caravan is not next to a play park or night club if they have one

Take some toilet roll! Previous occupants of our last caravan left 2 sheets.

Yes, you can have peace & quiet. You might get noisy neighbours but you might get quiet-as-a-mouse neighbours. You can choose not to participate in any of the park activities, and you will only need the entertainment pass to get into such facilities - pub, restaurant, amusement park, swimming pool (all depending on site).

    Hi
Manor park at hunstanton is a quiet site, its also easy to walk to the beach and shops from there, tescos is 3 mins away, the beach about the same.
We stayed there (we only live 20 miles away) when we needed to be close to home but still wanted a break, and had a nice time, it was privately owned then but is now owned by park resorts, but its a small site so i cant see it being very busy in September.
There are lovely quiet places nearby like Sandringham house and grounds, holkham beach, you will have a fab time

PS you dont have to pay for bed linen, take a sleeping bag and you dont have to pay for entertainment, and at manor park I wouldnt anyhow as its a quiet site with an outside pool, so dont think you would use it anyhow.
If Searles at hunstanton is also in your offer, you may prefer that, as IMHO the accomodation is better, its got a indoor swimming pool and gym, and beauty treatments, however they do make you pay for th entertainment passes there

  • Very grateful thanks to you all for replies - this site is brilliant - and so friendly! Am about to book myself a holiday Yippee!!!!! And will be taking loo roll!!!!!
  • Before you taking the plunge you say it is £10 per person per night, minimum of four people. So for a week that would be £280, or do you mean £10 per person per week?

Don't want you to have any nasty surprises!
It's taken me years of experience to get this cynical

These newspaper offers are usually based on a price per person per break (with a minimum booking of 4 people even if there are less of you going).

I would agree with Reggie though, just make sure you check and double check the small print so you know exactly what you have to pay for.
