are they healthy breakfast types or the ones who go for the full english?
a proper porridge, but flavoured with cinnamon or sultanas (or both) and topped with honey is a good idea if you arent sure.
some people like fresh fruit with yoghurt.
some lovely fresh bread with butter and jam (or bacon)
scrambled eggs with smoked salmon
or kedgeree
for some reason my OH thinks kippers for breakfast the last word in luxury (but he is a bit strange, I grant you).
and some will just want cornflakes, rice krispies or measly (I know its called muesli - but thats what the kids always called it).

I cooked breakfast for eight people recently. I put cereal and fruit juice out for everyone to help themselves (and helps to fill them up) followed by bacon, mushrooms and tomatoes (can all be cooked and kept warm easily) with fried or poached eggs (cooked to order) and potato bread/soda bread/toast all in serving dishes so people can have as much or as little as they want depending on whether or not they're a breakfast person.
