Where can I get my ears re-pierced?

I have not worn my earings for ages and the holes have healed up, I don't fancy Claire's to redo them does anyone know any jewellers who can redo them for me in the Northwest?;)

I'm not recommending it but................a money saving option is to get a trusted friend to hold an ice cube on your ear lobe and then use a sterile needle to pierce the lobe. That's how I had mine done when I was young and didn't know better.:o:D

I think the things to look for are clean premises. Ensure the practitioner performing the piercing is fully qualified and uses disposable and/or sterile equipment for the task and always washes their hands before and after the procedure, wearing clean and sterile gloves when tending to you.

I've found that gold earrings are a good choice when your ears are newly pierced or healing.

    Regards

I am a bit squeamish so the ice cube option is probably not for me and I really don't want to start again with studs, I have some lovely earrings but I can't wear them and I have a big birthday coming up so would like to be able to wear them by then. The hygiene thing worries me to be honest...

sometimes they never really close up so you can try squeezing where they were piereced before - you might find a load of gunk comes out and then the holes will be open again. thats how i reopened mine that i hadn't worn earrings in for years

Why not Claires ? They are trained and realise that you can t repierce the same hole due to infection risk .Just to state no I don t work for them :rotfl:

don't know anywhere specific, but i walked around a shopping centre visiting a few jewellers and claires and found one i liked. there was no way some 16 year old saturday girl was taking a gun to my ear in claires (i'm sure they're trained, but it just didn't feel ok to me!) so i went to a jeweller. they had a few options on what studs i could put in and used a gun too. i guess it may be agist of me, but i liked the middle aged lady who'd done it for years... it made me feel calmer about

(this wasn't a re piercing, but was getting holes lower than my previous set - which were oddly high)

  • im kinda in the same situation. I have lovely earrings and only one of my holes in my ears is still open. The other ear is kind of half open, i can get it in half way in the front and a little in the back but wont go all the way through.
Im way too much of a chicken to get a needle or gun thru my ears now though!
