B&Q mis-information

Can't B&Q get anything right? As stated elsewhere on this forum they are claiming savings on a Windsave wind turbine, which simply will not be anywhere near achieved by most people.
Now they've put up a big sign in the middle of the B&Q store about water economy. It says you can't use hoses to water an allotment. This is incorrect. They should check their facts before putting up a sign. The hose pipe ban doesn't cover allotments - not in the Three Valleys and Thames Valley water areas, at least. For example, Three Valleys say in their web site Q &A section:
Q: Can allotment holders water their allotments using a hose pipe?
A: Yes, the ban applies to the watering of a private garden and allotments do not fall within this category. However, we would encourage allotment holders to act now to install water butts for collection of water and think about other ways that they can mulch and use biodegradable gel to retain the moisture within the soil. Most allotments are rented, if the organisation renting the allotment decides to restrict water use then that is a private a matter between the allotment holder and the person leasing the allotment as it falls under the terms and conditions of their agreement.
