Hiya,
I'm going to buy a new laptop soon and have decided on an Apple Mac. They are darn expensive though. I spotted that the Apple store sell used refurbished iBooks at about[STRIKE] 30%[/STRIKE] actually it's only 17% for laptops - off their retail price - The store is here.
Is this a bargain or will there be problems ahead?

these can vary from display models in the shop , returned units under distance selling regs that may only have been opened and returned within 7 days to repaired faulty items (possibly a good laptop made from several bad ones)...they come with a 12 month warranty so I can't see a problemEx forum ambassador

Hi,
I think its a good deal; the site explains all the checks those Apple engineers supposedly perform. Well, I am biassed, I got my Mac Mini from there (delivered within 2 days). One note, some of the refurb models are not quite as recent spec as whats available new, so compare prices/spec carefully. e.g. they sometimes show Mac Mini Core Solo, which is a nice machine but that spec cant be bought new now.
NB mine didnt come in original box, but came in nice sturdy replacement. I didnt use any discount code when ordering mine, but others might know more about doing that...0 -
Thanks for that - I'll check the specs very carefully when ordering my laptop. Great to hear that someone else has used that site successfully.Old-styler, crafter and freebie junkie!Frogga's Amazing Weight Loss Campaign: Member no.20 since 2/9/07 -- lost 10lb
