wealdroam, yes i know, i have posted there too, and got some good advice.
I really just wanted to know if the 'personal injury' lawyers did the same system on other cases, however it seems quite obvious that they dont.
DV, payment was debit card, and whilst they finally got home, still took a while to claim their 'right of care' costs. however this was totally seperate from the Volcanic ash, as this is compensation, not out of pocket expenses.
But thanks guys for all your help.

You could try posting on holidaytruths.co.uk - their complaint forum does have access to a lawyer.

They do; Conditional Fee Agreements (the technical name for 'no win no fee') can be used in cases other than personal injury litigation. However, you won't find a solicitor who will take this particular case on that basis because the claim would be allocated to the small claim track (as it is worth less than £5,000), and in those circumstances you can only recover nominal fixed costs and court fees from the other side at the end if you win. A solicitor would almost inevitably cost you more than that, which means that you will not find one who would take your case on a CFA.I really just wanted to know if the 'personal injury' lawyers did the same system on other cases, however it seems quite obvious that they dont.
The short answer is that if this case does go to court, it will be a small claim and (due to your apparent financial restrictions) you will seemingly have to go through the process without a solicitor. Which is by no means fatal to the claim; plenty of people bring a claim themselves as litigants in person without the help of a solicitor."MIND IF I USE YOUR PHONE? IF WORD GETS OUT THATI'M MISSING FIVE HUNDRED GIRLS WILL KILL THEMSELVES."0
