Help & advice needed, leave of absence

Hi everyone

I took a leave of absence from my University on 30th November last year as a second year student. Was told that I needed to do this before 1st december or uni would be charged my tuition fees. I have a feeling though that this wasn't done properly as I received an email yesterday saying my payments have failed to go into my account. Upon checking my SF account it shows the loan and grant payments to me this month as failed, but shows the tuition fee payment as approved, so worried that uni will be paid this despite me not being there.

My other concern is that I was told by uni to take a leave of absence as I'd been looking to transfer to a different uni to continue the same course from year 2. Unfortunately this transfer wasn't accepted as one of my modules from year 1 had been covered in more detail at the new uni so they didn't feel I'd be prepared enough.

Now obviously being on a leave of absence means I could return to my uni in September to commence year 2 again, however as a back up I'd applied to start at the new uni from year 1. Interviews aren't until May so as yet I don't know if I've been offered one.

What I need to know is how I stand with SF if i were successful in starting year 1 at the new uni and not returning to the old one with still being on a leave of absence with them. Feel very confused about the whole thing and wondered if it would have been easier to have just withdrawn completely and not listened to the advice uni gave me :(
