We brought a Pets at home daisy cottage two tier hutch in middle september last year.
Today ive just been to clean them out and top tier the roof has mould spots on it [inside] quite a few.
I clean them out once a week, and they poo and wee in one place in the bottom tier, i tend to clean that corner out every other day.
Im beginning to think it was me that has caused it, ive made like a hutch waterproof cover out of tarpaulin and i keep the hutch inside my childrens outdoor playhouse until the summer. maybe that wasnt enough. I did the same for the last hutch and it lasted 4years and still going according to my friend.
It actually looks like it will cave in the root if i leave it, so have brought there outdoor run inside the garage and made them a make shift home until i can get new home for them.
So really need some advice how to prevent this happenning again and some hutch recommendations? x

Ive had 3 hutches from P at H and all of them were rubbish and didnt last more than a year. I bought a 6ft one from this company on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/OUTDOOR-RABBIT-HUTCH-BUY-BRITISH-BUY-QUALITY-6ftX2fX2ft-/260371889785?pt=UK_Pet_Supplies_Small_Animals&hash=item3c9f5fbe79
I have to say its the best hutch ive ever had, sturdy, very well made and still looks new on the outside, even though its sat outside in all weathers. Would reccomend them 100% and when ive got the money i will be buying a second one

We've also got a hutch (and run combo) from happy hutch and it's very sturdy and I would definitely recommend it. We've had ours for 2.5 years.
Alternatively if you have the room, consider a children's playhouse. We also have one we got second hand, just replaced the felt on the roof and put wire mesh over the windows and it's been going for about 7 years now and provides a great space for our rabbit.Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -
It's definatlely not you! We have this hutch and the insideof the roof is covered in mould and looks like it is close to collaspe. Will never buy one from PAH again!0
