  • Worth noting a few time restrictions on this offer, as it has changed slightly in comparison with previous incarnations of The Great Escape - particularly regarding travel from London during the evening peak period.

No restrictions apply at weekends - customers may travel on any service.

    Monday-Friday
No time restrictions within Network West Midlands (Centro) area, blanket restriction of after 09:30 from all other stations, with a couple of exceptions.
Customers travelling to London Euston from NORTH of RUGBY can use the 08:53 Birmingham New St-London Euston service and the 08:33 Crewe-London Euston service. (click times for full schedules - hopefully the links will work...)
Customers from RUGBY (09:04), NUNEATON (09:17) and ATHERSTONE (09:23) can also catch the 10:38 arrival into Crewe.

New evening restriction departing London Euston
Evening restrictions have been introduced on services departing London Euston between 15:40 and 19:00 (inclusive). Note that these are extremely busy trains in any case and I would advise would be travellers to avoid them anyway. However a supplement ticket is available for passengers who need to travel at this time, at £5 adult, £2.50 child. (1st or STD class - same as Great Escape ticket).
The supplement can be bought at the same time as the Great Escape ticket; on the day of travel (including at London Euston); or on board the train on the journey into London.
No evening restrictions apply anywhere else - only London Euston.
