What's your budget I use Creative Gigaworks T20s (about £60) and am quite happy with them? Not as good as good hi-fi speakers and a separate amp but good never the less. If you are prepared to spend enough you can get very good active speakers.
Maybe £50-£100. The T20s would be OK, although not so keen on the look of them.0 -
You could pick up a 'T-Amp' off EBay for under £40 from a nice man in China.0

That really looks cheap.0 -
If you don’t like the look of T20s, I think they look ok with grills on, you could go somewhere where you can hear some, the bigger PC Worlds have a good selection wire up might not be the best place to buy though. If you fancy an amp might be worth a look in Richer Sounds or second-hand of Ebay.0

when my PC speakers packed up I moved the stereo cd thing that we never really used any more as the cd part stopped working over to the computer and used that for PC sound. It's worth seeing if there is anything around the house you can hook up.Nothing to see here, move along.0
