My Web 17 deal with NPower ends on the 31/3. They then put me on their Juice tarriff. At the moment Scottish Power are looking the best for me based on my annual consumption for gas and electricity. Also I would get cashback via Quidco.

My question is if I start the process of transferring before the end of March, given that it takes on average 6 weeks, would Npower try and charge the exit fee even if transfer happened after the contract expires?

I am loath to wait til 1 April as I would be paying a higher amount for the 6+ weeks before it is transferred.

Switches can take place as little as 4 weeks from date of application.
Requesting to switch any earlier runs the risk of you incurring early exit fees.
