Ordering old statements - Santander

Has anyone ordered old statements from Santander? I've always kept my old bank statements from current accounts, but I'd like to order some for my savings accounts.
I've looked on the santander website and they charge £5 per copy and £10 for multiple copies, has anyone done this for savings accounts?
Thanks

If they are not accessible online you can order them for a total amount of £10.
This is defined by law not a Santander rule.
A SAR request will cost you £10 but involve a lot more work for them.0 -
It depends how far back you wish to go, Santander only charge for archived statements but if they're still on the system they'll send them out for free. Normally if it's statements from within the last two years they can usually issue them free if you call and ask.0

I thought they always charged, regardless of how far back you need them. Best call to ask. It may have changed.I work for first direct and have previously worked for Santander.
Any information I give should not been seen as being given from first direct or Santander however I do have certain knowledge from working there.
Thank you, Chrissy :wave:0 -

I hope you dont need then in a hurry.
I first ordered my statements way back at the start of Nov. I was told it would take six week. I accepted this and waited and waited and waited.
I recived bits of my statement - I called asking where the hell the rest was. I was told this must be an error and we dont know what happened. They said they would send new ones out in ten days.
Back to waiting this time another random section of bank history arrives. Again I phone up and told this is some kind of error and they dont know why this happned but they will get them all sent out within ten days.
Back to waiting. I then recieve the last three months of my back statements. This time im not best ammused with santander and loose it a bit over the phone (bit ashemed at this as this random person was just working away and I call up giving them an ear full). I was promised they would arrive within ten days.
Eventually two weeks ago I recived my whole(well if you piece all the bits they sent out at different intervals together) account history. It only took them about 14 to 15 weeks so as per normal santander has lived up to the high quality service they are known for.
Really is time to change my bank I think.:j0 -
if you go into the branch with some account proof, id and ask nicely they will print statements off for you
i did this myself last week with no problem at all the only thing the staff member did say was that they can not do a large amount of statements as this is very time consuming and would hold up the counter service
they printed me of a years worth (12 statements from 2009)0 -
