I bought a fancy philips electric toothbrush from Littlewoods just over a year ago; managed to get in on this deal which some of you may remember:

Anyway, a month or two ago it stopped working properly. It has a 2 year guarantee so I called Philips who immediately said 'no problem, send it back to us with your printout receipt and a covering letter. I'll send you an email telling you exactly what to do.'
So I got the email immediately, but didn't do anything about it for about a month, oops! Got a bit sidetracked over xmas. Eventually sent it back to their freepost address last Friday, not expecting to hear back for a couple of weeks at least. Anyway, on Thursday of this week the postman had a package for me. Opened it to find a brand new toothbrush with all the accessories (even though I only sent them back the faulty toothbrush and head, so now I have 2 sets of chargers etc!) and a note saying 'here is your replacement toothbrush'! Furthermore it was postmarked Tuesday, which means they must have send out the new one the same day or day after they got the old one...
I was pretty impressed - they didn't even seem to bat an eyelid at the receipt printout that said I'd paid £4 for this £60 toothbrush!
I was very impressed
