They annoy me so much, why did I ever give in to the temptations of home shopping...why!
For example, one does not expect to order shoes from a sale at £27 and then see them priced at £45 on your statement, one does not wish to have to query it every time they take it upon themselves to set up some sort of insurance on your account without authorisation which you don't know they've done until it gets charged.
You also don't expect to buy a piece of electronic equipment that they claim in their advert is exclusive to them and then find out later that it's not exclusive to them (gullibility on my part I suppose) and also to find out that their new "sale price" advertised only weeks after you bought it at full price is actually it's proper RRP.
Well, actually, I guess you do expect it, but it doesn't make it at all ethical.

Sorry to hear you've had such a bad experience with them
I'm not such a fan....It seems like a great idea because you can spread the cost but dare I say it, you're better off getting a credit card and purchasing in store at cheaper prices and spreader the cost that way.

It's so easy isn't it. Get all the stuff delivered to your door, without the hassle of having to walk around busy shops and contend with queues etc etc. But it seems that for every pro there is a few cons to the whole thing. This post was brought to you from the vortex of a human psyche, it was approved by my poor judgement. :T0

Yeah, there is that bonus!! You could threaten to take your business to Freemans unless they buck up their ideas?0

I've had a good moan at them via email, it's now up to them to do do or not do anything about it. In the meanwhile I'll just have to try and resist purchasing any more items from them. This post was brought to you from the vortex of a human psyche, it was approved by my poor judgement. :T0

also if you cross reference prices with their "Very" catalogue, the identical Littlewoods items are more expensive (something to do with agent's commission?)squaaaaaaaaacccckkkkkk!!!! :money:0

Such as the current set of 5 towels
Littlewoods - £30
Very - £25
Or the JML snuggie was £20 in littlewoods compared to £10 in Very.
Its down to the agents commission yes, but down to the perceived risk aswell (Agents customers are more likely to default than direct brand customers)0 -
Some of the Exclusive electrical stuff is questionable, especially the JMB brand0

The shoes bought are on buy now pay later, but the price with interest is more, the cash price is the £45, even though they were in the sale priced at £27 when I ordered them. I'm a direct customer, so don't make my orders through an agent.
I guess it's my fault regarding the electrical goods for believing it actually was an exclusive, I've questioned them about it though and am awaiting a response.
My mother gets sent stuff from Marshal Ward (now Isme) and their stuff seems to cost more, they have no interest free periods and the interested in nearly 40%! Littlewoods saving grace is they give you interest free periods and when it does get applied it's 29.9%, still high, but not as high as some.
I know that in future is Littlewoods advertise something as an exclusive item, I'm going to remember to do some research first, lesson learned. This post was brought to you from the vortex of a human psyche, it was approved by my poor judgement. :T0 -

As for being a direct customer you're not classed as direct unless its very or a "direct brand" you'll be an "embedded customer" but I'm just pulling hairs here haha.
Give littlewoods a call and ask for the offer satisfaction price and it should be the sale price.I guess it's my fault regarding the electrical goods for believing it actually was an exclusive, I've questioned them about it though and am awaiting a response. My mother gets sent stuff from Marshal Ward (now Isme) and their stuff seems to cost more, they have no interest free periods and the interested in nearly 40%! You can open other catalogue accounts and you share your credit limit between all of the SDG brandsI know that in future is Littlewoods advertise something as an exclusive item, I'm going to remember to do some research first, lesson learned.0
