Last time I bought some ,which was about 9 months ago it was around £1-40 per linear metre (for 7" feather edged)....IMO I wouldn't use timber weather boarding any more as it starts to rot within a few years especially at the joints. It can also split quite badly and knots bleed through ...You could go for a composite weatherboard which looks pretty real...link below should give you an idea.......

how about getting it re-plastered all over. made smooth and then re-painted ? if planning wouldn't allow weather board.

Rough idea would be about £9-80 per square metre....For ex7" softwood feather-edged .....

    So a wall with no window/door openings,measuring 8m (length)x 4m(height) would be 32 sq metres x £9-80 per square metre)

    = £313-60 rough guide only..

EDIT: I need to get out more.........

Thanks to all the above. Considered going to plain render, but decided not to as we're getting older, need to cut down on maintenance issues. i.e. plain render could craze & will need painting every few years. Said we'd never renovate another house, but just bought one where we're having to go right back to replacing joists........here we go again..............but no more after this one ......:rotfl:

May be worth considering Western Red Cedar weatherboarding as its very durable and will last a good 30 years or more.....

softwood boarding will cost about 5/10 quid per sq m.
it lasts 30 yrs. but itll need treating every five yrs or so.

red cedar will last 60 yrs. cost? about 5 times as much!
    Get some gorm.
