hello guys i have just joined the forum and thought i would let you know about my recent experiance with Zanussi,we have lived in a newbuild home for nearly 4 years,3 weeks ago our glass door shattered on the oven whilst my mrs and kids were in the kitchen luckily no-one was injured.I registered it with AA who i have my buildings and contents insurance with i also emailed Zanussi to inform them more out of annoyance than anything else. After having no success with AA i received emails and phone calls from Zanussi apolgising for any upset and inconvenience, they then advised they had ordered a replacement door and an engineer called on Tuesday of this week and fitted the replacement door all that they asked was who was our housebuilder and we had to sign for work being carried out,no cost involved at all i was very very impressed and wrote to them to let them know as much.Oh and the AA,..? i cancelled my £400 per annum renewal and got the same cover from Esure for £200..!!!!! so big thumbs up for ZAnussi and thumbs down to AA

Nice to know that you had such good service from Zannusi.
On the AA side of things, it would not be usual for household insurance to cover the cost of repairing a broken appliance.
They would normally only cover consequential loss (damage to other things (or people ) as a result of the breakdown).
You may be being unfair to them if you are blaming them for not doing something about a loss for which you were not covered. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0
