Blocked outlet pipe - Can I fix it?

Watcha,
My fairly new dishwasher (2 months) decided to start to flood the kitchen on wednesday evening. After a bit of investigation it looks like it's the pipe that the dishwasher's outlet pipe goes into thats to blame.(there's a flexible hose attached to the DW which I poked into a solid grey plastic pipe which seems to link in with the outlet from the sink)
The DW spitss water out its pipe just fine, but when it tried it into the grey pipe it fountained out. I'm assuming there's a bit of a grease blockage or something (the sink drains just fine).
So my question is, can you get flexible thin rods to clear out pipes like this? if so where from? Is this something I could do (it seems easy enough) as the idea of paying a plumber for something that seems fairly easy is a bit daft???
Any other thoughts \ tips??
Thanks
E.M.

Try pouring some hot water in the pipe and see if that clears it.0

you can get minature rodding kits for unblocking small pipes like this from places like wickes. it's a thick flexible wire with a handle on the end for rotating it.0

If not, try some chemical sink unblocker (like Mr Muscle), used as directed but pouring it directly down your grey plastic pipe.
If this fails you need stronger stuff, go to a DIY shop and look in the plumbing section for an acid drain cleaner. These are fairly strong so mix up as directed, pour down your pipe and leave overnight. If this fails then you really have a significant blockage which you may be able to remove by disassembling the pipe, physically removing said blockage, then reassembling.
Just make sure you wear rubber gloves if using the acid and flush through after with plenty of water.0
