What to do with used buggy?

I have a pushchair/pram that we no longer need and wondered what to do with it. I don't feel comfortable putting it on ebay or selling it as it's been pretty well used over the three years we have had it.
Do charity shops take them or do they need to be pristine? I wondered about Freecycle but I am getting fed up of people on there and have had a few issues lately. Do you think Social Services or the local children's centres pass things like this on to families who need them?
Thanks in advance.

put an ad in the local newsagent, there's bound to be a soon-to-be Granny or Grandad who would make use of your buggy when the grandkids come to visit.;)Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

I'd just put a local ad up. Maybe a local childminder would get use of it?Payment a day challenge: £236.69

Sure start will take items for young mums, people who move to the are with nothing etc. Probably worth calling your local children's centre.0

Thanks for your replies. I think I will call the children's centre first then as they've been good to us and if they know of someone who is in need then that would be great.
If they don't want it I'll try the local shop.0 -
You could put it outside your house on a dry day with a notice 'free to a good home'.
Amazing how many things go around here in this same way, and it always seems to be good homes they end up in too, based on the people who come to collect the items

there is a website called netmums www netmums . co . uk (take the spaces out, not allowed to post links yet
) that you can use in your local area they have a section called nearly new stuff and under there is a free section, its free to join and free to list and it will be someone localwho will need a buggy that will contact you to collect it.
i use netmums all the time, they also have a for sale and a wanted section. really useful site.0 -
I gave my buggies (single and double), plus my cots and other equipment to Women's Aid. So many people have to leave their homes due to domestic violence, and they often don't have the necessities. You could google to see if their is a branch near you, if you are interested.0

or you could register on your local freecycle or donate to charity shop0
