Help pls-slight chemically smell coming off enerysaver lightbulb

            Please dont worry about these sort of lamps, I handle literally 100's of them a week, be them in tact ones or broken ones they will do you no harm whatso ever.
The reason for safe disposal is because the fluorescent tube contains an extremely small amount of mercury and i mean small.
The chemical smell you referred to was more likely than not the plastic that the lamp is housed in, nothing at all to worry about there either.
