Remade cards - legality?

Last year i cut up all my old Christmas cards into bits and have been using the bits to make new Christmas cards this year (putting the bits onto blank cards with stickers etc). I know this is fine for using myself but I wonder what would the legality if I wanted to sell these cards (on ebay or etsy or at car boot sales etc)? Maybe it's a stupid question, but I am unsure about the reuse of copyrighted images/artwork, or simply presold artwork.
