Best place to buy funds

Hi

having been looking into funds lately, and reading the old MSE article on it, where is the best place to buy funds, in particular Schroder UK Mid 250.
I have seen this on fidelity and Hargreaves Lansdown, and some others.

I was wandering which service gives the best deals on buying and maintaining the funds, and what is feedback of the service like.

thanks for any help

Over the course of a year, I will use 3-4 different fund supermarkets as each has it's pros and cons. Certain features are unique to one or limited to one or two and if you want that feature then you go for that supermarket.

You dont say what tax wrapper you want to purchase that fund. The answer would be different depending on the tax wrapper. I know one provider that has that particular fund available at no initial charge and 0.4% AMC.

As a side issue, you arent buying that fund all by itself are you? Whilst the FTSE250 has been a good index to track, you wouldnt want all your money in that one place. Plus the risk profile of that fund (8 out 10) is higher than the average person would consider.

i wasnt just looking at that fund, it was just an example of one i was considering.

The tax wrapper i have, is a mini isa, but have used the stocks and shares for the year. is there another i can use?

which provider offers the above rates, is there a search engine for them, or is just a case of looking yourself

    thanks

I think its around 13 tax wrappers in the UK currently. Most of which wont be suitable for you but many allow you to invest into unit trust/oeic funds.

The provider that offers that fund on those terms is IFA only and wont deal with the public direct. For reason they have that particular fund dirt cheap.
