wtc how much savings are you allowed

hi we receice both tax credits and was just wondering what amount of money you are allowed in bank accounts .

    No limit at all.

    Although any taxable interest/dividends you earn will count as income for tax credits calculations (tax free interest/dividends eg ISAs don't count).

    we just have 2 current accounts for everday living so if i opened another one for emergencies that will be ok

    Yes tax credits don't care how many accounts you have, but you need to declare interest over £300
