can't say my employer does, as a very large global company they look after us pretty good, 5% payrise, annual bonus 10% of salary paid out every march, healthcare, gym membership, social budget of 30k per year for activities through social committee for employees and family, few more benifits besides.. good working enviroment with some very nice people. job can be hard going at times but it's worth the effort for the company knowing they value their employees. i could just be lucky and in the minority though.

Hmm quite different to my no payrise in 5 years, no bonus, no pension, and you get to work with some of the most horrible people god put on this planet.

You're not wrong there........... but it could get worse - much worse unfortunately.

If this 'government' get their way and introduce new employment laws, we all need to worry.

For example, they want to allow an employer to get rid of anyone for any reason (other than discrimination) before serving two years service (currently one year).

Surely a 'carte blanche' for some employers to treat their staff with more contempt than they currently do, although I suspect many employers will disagree.

We've been there before. At one time it was six months then Conservative government upped it to two years. Labour brought it down to one year.
