Has anyone else experienced this? With things the way they are at the moment its very much an employers market, however some seem to think this gives them the right to bully and generally treat you poorly and if you don't like it well you know what you can do.

you missed a word out there 'Some'.....The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!
If I give you advice it is only a view and always always take professional advice before acting!!!

I see one "some" in the opening post. Where else would you expect to place the word?0 -
Unfortunately I agree OP- I still have hope that it is only "some".
Sadly for me i have just started a job and they are now trying to go back on the rate of pay advertised. Sadly for them I have spoken to JCP and they have confirmed the advertised rate!
I suppose they think they have got me "over a barrel" and I'll just go along with it, as it's a part time job I've got less to loose and as there are other issues too I'm prepared to fight. (have spoken to ACAS and have been told to get legal advice)
Wish me luck! Thanks to all posters for your never ending help and support:beer:0 -

Its down to what you do.
Easy to replace
Hard to replace
Also how good you are at your rights and how you exercise them.0 -
Most of it is people in minimum wage jobs with Managers who are paid a quid more per hour who think the best way to make things work is to bully and talk down to the employees they are responsible for in order to please their manager - who also probably treats them like crap when they fail to meet targets. Those managers are normally those who took all the crap from a previous manager and brown nosed and sold the most as they're one of those salesmen who likes to think they can pretty much take your wallet out your pocket and take however much money they like.getmore4less wrote: »Its down to what you do.

Options for those affected include:
a) pull down trousers, bend over and be happy
b) get signed off work by the doctor and prescribed anti-depressants
c) quit work and forego having any benefits for however many weeksWanted a job, now have one. :beer:0 -

can't say my employer does, as a very large global company they look after us pretty good, 5% payrise, annual bonus 10% of salary paid out every march, healthcare, gym membership, social budget of 30k per year for activities through social committee for employees and family, few more benifits besides.. good working enviroment with some very nice people. job can be hard going at times but it's worth the effort for the company knowing they value their employees. i could just be lucky and in the minority though.0
