Hi,
Hoping someone can help..
Me and my boyfriend want to go to Mexico in August. Unfortunately his mother was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in October 2010.
Does anyone know of an Insurance Company who will insure us? So far no one will insure us as we know of a reason why we may need to cancel or curtail our holiday.
There is one company AllClear Insurance who will insure us if his mother's doctor will sign a note to say her condition will not deteriote but the doctors do not know at this time the prognosis of her condition.
We can't book without insurance as the holiday is going to cost £3200 and obv we would cancel or curtail if her condition was to change.
Any help would be greatly appreiciated!

Hi, just quoting from an actual Policy Wording so you know exactly your position......
'What is not covered......
Circumstances known to you before you purchased this insurance....'
Therefore, IF anybody will offer cover
(a) be worried and
(b) GET IT IN WRITING FROM THE ACTUAL UNDERWRITERS that they will accept this risk AND be conmfortable with the Underwriters themselves.
Good luck, you enjoy that holiday0 -
Having been through a similar situation with cancer and as heat condition recently for our elderly parents, we found Halifax the most competitive on pre-existing conditions.
You will need to call them, rather than deal online.
Be prepared to pay a huge premium though, and ensure that the doctors have confirmed that your BF's mother can travel.
The alternative is standard travel insurance and not being covered for the conditions you are aware of (not recomended)My farts hospitalize small children
